It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel Robert Andrew Beaton, 55, of Antigonish, NS on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Born and raised in the town of Springhill, Daniel pursued many interests throughout his life with music, playing the guitar, computers and gaming, and always books remaining at the forefront. After leaving Springhill, Daniel lived in many parts of Cumberland County, including Pugwash, Oxford and Amherst. After meeting his future wife Selena Wang, in Sackville NB, they eventually moved to Antigonish so Selena could attend STFX University. The family thrived there, and Daniel found success as an independent contractor delivery driver.

One of the happiest days of his life was the day he celebrated the birth of his son, Richard in 2012. The most important thing in his life was his family, with his love for Selena and Richard a driving force in every decision he made.

He will be sorely missed by his wife Selena Wang, his adored son Richard, his sisters KellyAnne (Scott) Snailham, Barbie (Robert Brown) Beaton, his nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as his extended family and his many found family of friends such as Mike Beaton and Brent Casey.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Margaret (Arseneau) Beaton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS B0M 1X0, 902-597-2361, where an Afternoon of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm.

Daniel's ashes will be interred with his parents in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill in the spring.
