McFADDEN, Edward Pearle, 73, of Springhill, NS passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.

Born December 18, 1936, in Oxford, NS, he was the son of the late Lila Jean (Carter) and Norman Edward McFadden.  He was predeceased by grandparents, Norman and Sarah (Rhindress) McFadden and William and Mary Mable (Rushton) Carter.

He served as Pte. with the Battalion of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada, Constable of the Oxford Police Department, he was a Coal Miner, Logger, Mill Worker, Carpenter, Bridge Builder and held many other occupations.  He was a member of the Buffalo Lodge, Springhill.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going for long drives throughout the countryside with his wife Donna, and the many visits from all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Irene (Brown) McFadden, Springhill; son Edward (Janet) McFadden, Springhill; daughters, Nancy (Raymond) Perry, Williamsdale; Jo-Ann (Jack) Calder, Springhill; Valerie (Philip) Stone, Springhill; grandchildren, Annette, Amanda, Raymond, Arlene, Christopher, Jessica, Summer, Robert, Neil, Mitchell and Keith; great grandchildren, Devin, Kyle, Dylan, Cameron, Colby, Ashley, Gregory, Mason, Abigail, Quinten, Brooke-Lynn, Kruz, and Trenten; sisters, Bertha Joseph, Brantford, ON, Jennie Davidson, Campbell River, BC, Sara McMasters, Springhill, Norma Barrett, Campbell River, BC, Maxine (Clarence) Guilderson, Campbell River, BC, Ann (David) Farnell, Salt Springs, Springhill, Claudette McFadden, Springhill, Shawna (Brian) Kearley, Eastern Passage, NS, many nieces and nephews, cousins, best friends; Charles Ripley, Williamsdale, NS, Alex Robinson, Ontario and Bernard Guthro, Monestary, NS and many other lifetime friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361).  There will be no visitation or service at this time.  For those wishing to send memorials, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of their choice.  Eddy will be dearly missed and loved by all.
