It is with profound sadness that we
share the passing of Bradley Glynn
Lockhart, age 32, of Springhill, Nova Scotia, on
Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care
Centre in Amherst, Nova Scotia, surrounded by the love of his family
and friends.
Born in 1993 in Amherst, Nova Scotia,
Brad was the beloved son of Scott and Roxanne (Henry)
Lockhart.
He was known for his big heart, fierce
loyalty, and his constant willingness to support those around
him.
Brad’s greatest joy was his
daughter, Meyer Jane, who was truly the light of his life and his
greatest source of motivation. His love for her was unconditional and
unwavering.
Known to many as "Bad Brad
Lockhart" #286, Brad had a lifelong passion for motocross racing.
It was far more than a sport—it was his escape, his
community, and his second family. He traveled throughout Canada and
the United States to compete, forming deep and lasting friendships
along the way. Within the motocross community, Brad was admired for
his generosity, sense of humor, and genuine kindness.
Brad also loved cooking and took great
pleasure in preparing and sharing meals with others. He was proud of
his current job at Maritime Pressure Works, where he felt respected,
supported, and valued.
Courageously open about his mental
health struggles, Brad spoke honestly about his experiences, helping
others feel seen and less alone through his strength and
vulnerability.
Brad will be lovingly remembered by his
parents, Scott and Roxanne; his daughter Meyer Jane; his brother Ryan
(Randi) Lockhart; his nephews, Meston and Bowen Lockhart; as well as
many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents
John and Theresa Henry, and grandparents Bill and Frances
Lockhart.
Brad's arrangements are under the care
and direction of the A. H. Brown Funeral
Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A
time of visitation will take place at the Dr. Carson & Marion
Murray Community Centre on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1 pm until
2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm by a Celebration of Brad's life,
officiated by Reverend Alexander Cheprasov.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to
his little brother and best friend, Landen White; Alan White and
family; Maritime Pressure Works; Brad’s motocross family;
and Karly MacDonald and family for their continued love, care, and
support.
If so desired, donations in Brad's
memory may be made to Cumberland Mental Health
