It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catherine Mae Meekins, 102 Years of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on Friday, November 7, 2025 in Northwood Enhanced Care, Halifax.

Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Ella C. (MacPhee) MacLeod.

She will be sadly missed by daughters, Linda Munroe, Dartmouth and Carol (Jeffery) Wright, Orleans, Ottawa; grandchildren Chris (Patti) Trenholm, Dartmouth, Craig (Jennifer Logan) Trenholm, Cole Harbour, Stephen (Tina) Munroe, Beaver Bank, Jennifer Munroe, Dartmouth, Holly (Kevin) Charlebois, Ottawa and Ashley (Travis Labelle) Wright, Ottawa, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Joyce MacAloney, Taunton, Massachusetts, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Meekins, daughter, Sandra MacDonald, sisters Christina Dixon and Beverley Taylor, brothers Henry, Donald and Darrell MacLeod

Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902 597 2361).  A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 am in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, followed by a time of fellowship and reception at the A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill.
