It is with extreme regret and sadness that we, the family of David Leonard Morrison,  62 years, of Springhill, announce his passing on Friday, December 6, 2024, after a lengthy illness.  Born in Glace Bay, NS, he was a son of Estelle (MacDonald) and the late Delbert Morrison.

David loved a round of golf and spending time on his 4 wheeler or just tinkering.  He was a deeply devoted family man and a good friend to everyone.

David is survived by his soulmate and the love of his life, Annette (O'Brien) Morrison, Springhill; his mother, Estelle (MacDonald), Glace Bay, NS; his children, Tyler, Garrett (Amber), and Brooklyn; his beloved granddaughter, Paisley; his siblings, Keith (Bernadette) Morrison, Patricia (Gary) Parent-LeBlanc, and Krista (Craig) Morrison; his aunt, Kay Riley; his mother-in-law, Wendy O'Brien; a sister-in-law, Janet O'Brien and a brother-in-law, Rodney (Mildred) O'Brien, as well as his best friend, Shane Houston; his best fur-buddy, Vincent, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Besides his father, David was predeceased by a sister in infancy, Carol; his father-in-law, Keith O'Brien and a brother-in-law, Bernie Parent.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Colin McWilliams; the staff of the VON and Beth Scammell-Trueman for all of their compassion and care.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).  A celebration of David's life will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2-4 pm.
