It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Debra Ann Berry, age 74, of Springhill. Debby passed away at home on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Maine) Arseneault, a true coalminers daughter. 

Debby loved many things but above all else, she loved her family, spending time with them over the holidays and visits. Her family meant the world to her.

Debby enjoyed reading, watching tv and baking especially at Christmas. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and collector of all things Elvis. She loved flowers of all kinds, didn't matter the type. She was very strong willed and independent woman. In the summer time and even on cold days, she loved spending time at the beach with her toes in the sand. Debby was a long time member of the O'Rouke Group in Springhill. She worked many years at Gordon's Greenhouse and Oxford Frozen Food. 

She will be remembered for her laughter and love of life. She loved spending time with her siblings and her fur baby Maci.

Debby will be dearly missed by her two sons, Michael and Cecil; daughter Ruby; grandchildren Matthew Casey, Derrick Gouchie and Shawn Hannah; great-grandchildren Keidan, Victoria, Gage and Ryder; sisters Ethel Rogers and Dora Bourgeois; brother Joe (Mary) Arseneault

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother Peter and sister Sandy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where a Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 22nd, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM with special words at 3 PM.
