It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tyler Barry Brayley, 31, peacefully in his sleep at his parent's home on Friday, December 8, 2023.  Tyler was born in Amherst, on August 23, 1992, the son of Muriel (Melanson) and Barry Brayley.

Growing up Tyler was active in hockey, basketball and baseball.  At 12 years old he was a member of the Springhill Army Cadets.  He was proud to be selected for the National Marksmanship Competition in Quebec City and brought home a trophy.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved everything to do with the outdoors.  Tyler had a very kind heart and was loved by everyone who knew him.

Tyler will be deeply missed by his parents, Muriel and Barry Brayley of Springhill; his sister, Tanya (Michael) McManaman, Hastings, NS, as well as the light of his life, his niece, Aaralyn; his paternal grandmother, Elsie Brayley, Springhill; his maternal grandmother, Marie Melanson, Springhill; his aunts, Gail (Kevin) McCormick, Rodney, NS and Norma (Bob Oickle) Estabrooks, of Oxford, NS, and Valerie (Chris) Gallagher, Southampton, NS, as well as his uncle Philip (Kathie Mooney) Brayley, Springhill; his step niece and nephew, Vanessa (Nick) and Michael (Stephanie) McManaman, as well as several cousins.

Tyler was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Ronald Brayley and his maternal grandfather, Normand Melanson as well as his very special friend, Marion Varner, whom he considered a grandmother, his childhood best friend Bill Gilbert whom he always looked up to and his lifelong best friend, RJ Arseneau.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) from where a time of visitation will be held 2-4 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home.  Rev. Dr. Brian Spence officiating.

Donations in memory of Tyler may be made to the Springhill Salvation Army Food Bank.
