It is with profound sadness that we
announce the sudden passing of Tyler Barry
Brayley, 31, peacefully in his sleep at his parent's
home on Friday, December 8, 2023. Tyler was born in Amherst,
on August 23, 1992, the son of Muriel (Melanson) and Barry
Brayley.
Growing up Tyler was active in hockey,
basketball and baseball. At 12 years old he was a member of
the Springhill Army Cadets. He was proud to be selected for
the National Marksmanship Competition in Quebec City and brought home
a trophy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved
everything to do with the outdoors. Tyler had a very kind
heart and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Tyler will be deeply missed by his
parents, Muriel and Barry Brayley of Springhill; his sister, Tanya
(Michael) McManaman, Hastings, NS, as well as the light of his life,
his niece, Aaralyn; his paternal grandmother, Elsie Brayley,
Springhill; his maternal grandmother, Marie Melanson, Springhill; his
aunts, Gail (Kevin) McCormick, Rodney, NS and Norma (Bob Oickle)
Estabrooks, of Oxford, NS, and Valerie (Chris) Gallagher, Southampton,
NS, as well as his uncle Philip (Kathie Mooney) Brayley, Springhill;
his step niece and nephew, Vanessa (Nick) and Michael (Stephanie)
McManaman, as well as several cousins.
Tyler was predeceased by his paternal
grandfather, Ronald Brayley and his maternal grandfather, Normand
Melanson as well as his very special friend, Marion Varner, whom he
considered a grandmother, his childhood best friend Bill Gilbert whom
he always looked up to and his lifelong best friend, RJ
Arseneau.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) from where a time of
visitation will be held 2-4 pm on Thursday, December 14,
2023. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15,
2023 at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Brian Spence
officiating.
Donations in memory of Tyler may be made
to the Springhill Salvation Army Food Bank.
