It is with shattered hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Amanda Jean Gabriel, age 43, of Springhill, NS. Amanda passed away alongside her grandson and son in law on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Amanda was always baking for family and friends, shopping on Amazon and scrolling Pinterest to find creative ways to make her hubby work. She was probably the biggest football fan you’ve ever seen and she was always so excited for the weekend so she could watch her son’s football game. She never missed a game and by chance she did, her and hubby streamed the game and they could probably still hear mom screaming "Let’s go boys hit ‘em hard." After the last game she finally got to go into the coaches office and locker room, she was over the moon to finally get in. But above all her favourite hobby was taking care of her husband, her kids, her grandsons and her fur babies, family was everything to her.
Amanda was a ray of sunshine, she lit up every room she walked into. She had the most contagious laugh and she always laughed at the silliest thing, but you couldn’t help but join in on her laughter. She was a truly amazing women. Amanda had a heart of gold and was passionate about helping everybody, no matter what it took even when people didn’t deserve it, she saw the good in everyone. Amanda’s husband said, " I’m honoured she chose me. She picked a broken man, and turned him into a good man."
Amanda will be dearly missed by her husband Adam Gabriel, her daughters Amy Gabriel and Sara Gabriel, her son Riley Gabriel, her mother Connie Carmichael, her brothers Nick Carmichael, Ryan (Caroline) Carmichael and Michael Jollimore, her grandson Arlo Allen, sister in law Jill Burden and stepfather Carl (Jane) Fraser, along with her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her father Dale Carmichael, she was predeceased by her aunts Thelda Angevine, Wanda Brown and Barb Vandenburg and her uncles David Patriquin and Gary Patriquin.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A H Brown Funeral Home 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). A Celebration of Life will take place December 9th, 2023, upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 in Springhill from 9pm to 1am. All are welcome.
