It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Charles Douglas Farrell, age 84, of Springhill, NS, after a short battle with cancer. Doug passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, August 31, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late George and Elsie (Rushton) Farrell.
Doug loved playing darts in his earlier days. He worked at the foundry in Sackville and Oxford Frozen Foods as a supervisor.

He will be dearly missed by his daughters Patty (Keith) MacDonald, Upper Tantallon, NS, Kathy (Mark) Brennan, Napan, NB and Karen (Mike) Beauparlant, Belleville, ON; grandchildren, Stephanie, Shawn, Aaron, Kayleghann, Kourtney, Mitchell, Kyla, and Kristyn; several great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Sears, Debbie (Marven) Powell, Dorothy Farrell, Brenda Jutras Farrell; brothers Larry (Valerie) Farrell, Gary (Shirley) Farrell, Jack Farrell.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by great granddaughter Grace Marie Dawn Chapman brothers, Herbert, Richard, Robert and sister Betty Hibberts.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Honouring Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. A public graveside service will take place in the Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 3 pm.
