It is with deep and profound sadness we must announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Veniott, 76 years, of Amherst, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Otto D. and R. Eileen (Rector) Veniott.

Bob began his working career with Casey Ford in Amherst changing careers to work at A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, then as a paramedic with Brown's Ambulance Service eventually transitioning to EHS where he ended his working career. Bob was a mentor to many who started into the field of paramedicine. He was an Honourary member of the Springhill Fire Department spending many years in the department, as well as a member of several motorcycle clubs.

Bob was skilled and capable in everything he did. He was always available to help anyone anytime with a calm and collected manner. He always enjoyed getting out on the open road with his close friends for a trip on his motorcycle.

Bob will be forever missed by his wife of 24 years, Linda Arenburg, Amherst; his son Danny (Stacey) Woodstock, ON and his daughter, Heather (Gerald); his grandchildren, James, Erin, Brooke and Lynsey; his step-children, Michael (Linda) Black, Rimbey, AB, and Mark (Taryn) Black, Amherst; step grandchildren, Hayden, Avery, Scarlett, and Rilyn; as well as a sister-in-law, Marjorie Rector and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by a granddaughter Macy Gallagher, and a brother, Maynard.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Honouring Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and an Afternoon of Remembrance will be held from the funeral home on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 2-4 pm. A private family burial will take place in the Mapleton Cemetery.
