It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Carolyn Aretta Torrie, 78, of Amherst formerly of Springhill. Carolyn passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Springhill, Carolyn was a daughter of the late Eugene and Aretta (Pettigrew) Pyke.

Carolyn was a retired teacher and she enjoyed working with the United Church Ladies Guild in Springhill.

Carolyn will be dearly missed by her son Rob, Saskatoon; sisters Millie (John) Warner, Amherst and Janis (Norman) Fulton, Cumberland, ON.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert "Bob" Torrie.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). As per Carolyn's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. 

Donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to St. Andrews-Wesley United Church, Springhill, or charity of choice.
