It is with sadness we announce the passing of L. Edward "Eddie" Chute, 77 years, of Springhill, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at High Crest Nursing Home.

Born in Berwick, NS, he was a son of the late George and Myrtle (Bennett) Chute.

Eddie loved hunting and fishing. When maple syrup season hit, he could be found at the camp on Lynn Mountain making maple products with a cold Keith's in his hand. He loved to share his Maple products with friends and family, never wanting a dime.

He will be missed by children Stephen Chute, Shediac, Chris Chute, Lynn Mountain, Heather Boss (Paul Patriquin), West Leicester, NS and David Chute, Springhill; grandchildren Kyle, Evan, Tyler, Trystin, Alix, Mackenzie, and Nathan; great grandchildren Owen, Oaklynn, and Sage; daughter in law Rosalee Gaudet, sister Madge (Harry) Morse, Berwick.

He was predeceased by his wife Donna (Godfrey) and his sister Marilyn Morse.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in the spring.

Eddie's family wants to thank the staff at High Crest Nursing Home, especially the nurses. I'm sure Ed made you rethink your profession at times, but we thank you all.
