It is with great sadness we announce the passing of E. Aretta Pyke, 104 years, of Springhill, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Rector) Pettigrew.

She will be dearly missed by daughters, Carolyn Torrie, Amherst, Millie (John) Warner, Amherst and Janis (Norman) Fulton, Cumberland, ON; grandchildren Mark, Robbie and Claire; great grandchild Bea; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Eugene; son in law Bob Torrie; grandson Matthew; as well as one sister and several brothers.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A .H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place. There is no public visiting or service. A private graveside service will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, at a later date.
