It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Dale Calder, 75, of Oxford on Satuday December 24, 2022.  Pat was born in Springhill, a daughter of the late Pleaman and Ida (Skidmore) Pyke.

Pat had been a Registered Nurse for over thirty years, working in the hospitals in Amherst and Springhill, as well with Corrections Canada.  She had a big heart, and her employment was a good match for her caring and nurturing nature.

She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and going to dinner with her good friends.  She also enjoyed music and a quiet afternoon relaxing with a warm cup of tea.

Pat is dearly missed by three daughters, Dana (Roy) Boutilier, North River, NS, Nadia (Shane) Foote, Truro Heights, and Crystal (Nick Kielbratowski) Weeks, Porters Lake, NS; step children, Lindsay Weeks, Halifax, and Steven Weeks, Kolbec, NS; her grandchildren, Zack, Tylia, Devyen, Braylee, and Elliot; her great grandchildren, Sophia and Alexander.  She will also be missed by her sister, Marlene (Bob Currel) Knowlton, her Uncle Glen Beaton, and several nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends.

Besides her parents, Pat was predeceased by her brother Marvin and her sister Linda Greenhow.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361).  An afternoon of remembrance will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 2-4 pm with a brief celebration to be held at 3 pm followed by a recepton.

For those who wish to do so, donations in memory of Pat may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting the online memorial at www.brownsfuneralhome.com or through the A.H. Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page.
