It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eileen Audrey Henwood, 100 years, of Springhill, formerly of Amherst, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in High-Crest Nursing Home, Springhill.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Georgina (DeVine) Burton.

She was an adherent to the St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church, Springhill, and formerly Trinity-St. Stephen United Church, Amherst.

Eileen, Mom, Mama, Nana, was a woman of faith, love and inspiration.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Carson (Dianne) of Ottawa and David of Amherst; grandchildren Anne Marie (Murray) Harman, Ottawa, and Ross (Agata) Henwood, Ottawa; great grandchildren Jenna (Jordan) and Luke; brothers, Simon, Port Elgin, ON, and Pat (Marianne), Saint John, NB; as well as many caring nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril; sisters, Evelyn Pyke, Betty Adams, Joyce Burton, Leona Aniol; Margaret Cox and Shirley Ann Burton; brothers, Donald, Clayton, Dennis and John Edward.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church in Springhill, on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.

Many thanks to the staff of High-Crest for their support and compassionate care so much that she called it home.
