It is with deep sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Vicki Lynn Porter, age 66, of Springhill.  Vicki passed away at her new apartment on Saturday, May 21, 2022 with her family around her.

Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late James and Arlene (Rushton) Brown.

Vicki was a published author.  She loved playing cards with the seniors and often volunteered at the United Church.  Vicki always put family first, her children growing up, and once the grandchildren arrived they became her world.  She enjoyed time at the beach, walking the sand, watching the water, and spending time with her friends and family.

She will be dearly missed by children Dawn (Jamie) Spicer, Springhill and Mitch Porter (Amie Oickle), Pugwash; 6 grandchildren, Alex, Corinn, Jorja, Madison, Jack, and Owen; sisters Valerie (Doug) Reynolds, Five Islands, Kelly (Doug) Williams, Springhill, and Wendy Porter (Wayne Smith), Leduc, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS, (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm.  Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 2 pm from Browns Funeral Home, Ruth Gamble, DLM officiating.
