It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Delores "Siddy" Ryan, age 90, of Springhill, NS. Kathleen passed away at the QEII Halifax, on Friday, December 31, 2021 with her family by her side.
Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. Ryan and Margaret (Hunter) Ryan.
Mom was a special person who loved her family. She loved to dance, had many friends and a smile for all. Mom was the funniest lady you would ever meet; she will keep them laughing in Heaven.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Pat Ryan (Delores), Port Howe, Kathleen Sorensen, Nanaimo, BC, Johnny Simons, Scotsburn, JoAnne Griffon (Alan), Portapique, Mike Simons (Sylvia), Springhill, and Sandra Simons (Barry), Lake Echo; loving grandchildren, Angela Ryan Bourgeois, Charles Ryan, Cory Francis, Marion Ripley, Jeffery Clarke, Daniel Clarke, Jack Sorensen, Nicholas Sorensen, Jennifer Simons, Barbara Simons, Fraser Griffon, Peter Griffon, Ryan Simons, Jacob Rogers and Joseph Currie, as well as many great, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter Jessica, brothers, Charles and Patrick, and sisters, Edna, Bonnie, Helen, and Elizabeth.
Kathleen was employed as a License Practical Nurse for many years at the Nova Scotia Hospital, and Halifax County Regional Rehabilitation Center. She ventured out and became the Owner/Operator of Portland Estates Nursing Home until her retirement. She then traveled and spent winters at her residents in Florida.

Amherst, for their care and dedication over the last two years.

place. A Graveside Service welcoming friends and family will
take place on Saturday, June 18, 2002 at 10:00 am in Hillside
Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
