It is with broken hearts that I announce the sudden passing
of my daughter, Bernadette Ellen Gaynes,
52, who passed away at her home in Dartmouth, NS after a brief
illness. Bernadette was born in Moncton, NB and was a daughter of
Alice Dow and the late Lawrence Gaynes.
Bernadette was an avid cat lover.
Bernadette is survived by her loving mother, Alice Dow, of
Moncton; her sister, Lorna Gaynes, of London, ON; her aunts, Roselin
Fitzsimmons, Donna (Ken) Wylie, and Shirley Phillips; her uncles,
Edwin (Lizanne) Dow, Cecil (Connie) Dow, Kervin (Arlene) Dow, and
Donald (Marilyn) McLean, as well as many cousins and
friends.
Besides her father, Bernadette was predeceased by her sister
Marsha Gaynes.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, NS. A time of public visitation will be held at
the Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021
with a graveside service to follow in the Mapleton Cemetery at 3:30
pm.
As per government regulations, proof of double
vaccination will be required to attend any visitation or
services.
Donations in memory of Bernadette may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society.
