It is with sadness we announce the passing of Russell Eldon Phalen, 77 years, of Springhill, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, NS. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John "Jack" Phalen and Myrtle (Moreau) Phalen-McLaughlin.

Russell is survived by his wife Priscilla Phalen, Springhill; daughters, Belinda Phalen, Dartmouth and Amanda Dewtie, Thorburn; son, Fraser (JenniferPerry) Phalen, East Jeddore; brothers, Cyril (Jill) Phalen, Ontario, Barry (Shirley) Phalen, New Glasgow and Fred (Carol) Phalen, Trenton; sisters, Lillian (Mick) O'Hearn, Halifax, Isabel (Jim) Asprey, New Glasgow, Glenda (Eldie) MacIntosh, Colleen (Lux) MacDonald, Trenton.

Predeceased by brothers, Jack (Edith) Phalen; sisters, Florence (James) Chisholm, Jean (Maurice) Carver, Nora (Fred) McGrath, Elaine (James "Buddy") Smith.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or Funeral Service at this time.
