It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Harold Keith Henwood, 93
years, of Springhill. Affectionately known as
"Mr. Hensh*t". Harold passed peacefully away on
Thursday, May 27, 2021 in East Cumberland Lodge,
Pugwash.
Born in Springhill Junction,
he was a son of the late Thomas and Ethel (Graham)
Henwood.
At an early age, Harold began working on
a farm until he was 16, after which he began working at the Springhill
Mines doing repairs in the locomotive shop. Harold was
working above ground during the 1956 and 1958 disasters.
After the mines, he opened and operated his own automotive repair shop
in his back yard which he operated until his retirement 30 years
later. Being in good health, he took great
pride in keeping his property, including a vegetable garden, neat and
tidy. Harold's favourite pastime was fishing throughout Nova
Scotia and Newfoundland with his buddies. He looked forward
to a good game of cards, especially when playing with Dale and
Paulette.

Gallagher, Deborah (Hollis) Park and Susan (Kenneth) MacKenzie;
sisters, Muriel Brine, Christina Summers, and Olive Holland; seven
