It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marguerite Evangeline Metz, age 88, of Springhill, NS.  Marguerite passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Port Howe, NS, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Isabelle (Cooper) Williams.

Marg was a hairdresser by trade, trained by Juanita and Art Goldrich.  She looked after many clients around the area for over 30 years out of her shop on Main Street in Springhill.  Her husband Charlie played fiddle all over Cumberland County, and she loved to dance at all his events.  She enjoyed her card club with friends for many years.  She was a great homemaker and loved a beautiful home, garden, and yard.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter Debbie (Ron) Legere, Oxford, NS; son, Jerry (Brenda) Metz, Amherst, NS; 3 grandsons, Richard, Jerry and Jamie; 2 great grandsons, Brandon and Nathan; 4 great granddaughters, Simone, Lia, Clare and Natalie; sister Ellen (Richard) Cameron, Sackville, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Charlie; her granddaughter Tracy; grandson Charlie; brothers Laurie, Stanley and George; 3 sisters Dorothy, Flossie and Jean.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361).  In keeping with Covid Restrictions, a private family service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 4 pm, Rev. Dr. Brian J. Spence officiating.  The funeral will be Live-Streamed and may be viewed by visiting Marguerite's obituary on the funeral home website.

Marguerite's family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to East Cumberland Lodge, the VON, and the CRHCC Palliative Care for their great care and attention of their mother.
