It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of James Edward "Jim" Harroun, 76 of Lower Sackville, NS, on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late James and Margaret (Foster) Harroun.

Jim was still in business at Marlene's Sewing Bee, Sackville, NS, that he and Marilyn enjoyed very much for many years. He enjoyed his customers as if they were family. He was passionate about his work on sewing machines and making things. He also had a passion for wood working, making signs and pictures, etc. Jim also served in the Navy in his younger years. Jim enjoyed spending time at his camp in West Brook, were he enjoyed fishing, hunting, planting a garden and spending time there with Marilyn and his friends near by.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of fifty plus years, the former Marilyn Sauveur; his brother Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harroun and family; special friends, Donald and Gerine Davis; Brian Smith and Shirley Fillmore and many cousins and friends.

Arrangements are under the care and supervision of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.

Sharing of memories and condolences may be sent to the family by visiting Jim's online memorial at www.brownsfuneralhome.com or through the A H Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page.

If there ever comes a day we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever.
