It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Ruby Kathryn (Kathy) Bourgeois, age 72, of Springhill, on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Mary (Brian) Thomas, Heather Hennigar, and LeAnna (Glenn Nolan) MacSwain; 4 grandchildren, Noah, Abbey, Katie and Alysha; stepson, Aaron Bourgeois (Angela); 2 step-grandchildren, Jacob and Ellen; her sisters, Sharon and Joyce, and her brothers, Hollis and Murray.

She was predeceased by her husband, Keith Bourgeois; parents, Betty and Leroy O’Toole; brother, Malcolm, and step-son, Andrew.

She’ll be fondly remembered for her love of nature, especially birds, her pie crusts, her big hugs and waves at the door when you left that lasted until you were out of sight.

Cremation has taken place under the supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). A graveside service will be held at a later date.
