The death of Jacqueline L.
Furlong aged 78 years, of Halifax and formerly
of Springhill, NS, occurred on Friday, January 1, 2021 in
the Melville Lodge in Halifax, NS. Born in Springhill, she
was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Winnie (Baxter)
Brundage.
Jacqueline was employed with Sears
Catalogue office and later with CSIS Canada. She enjoyed a
good cup of tea, was an excellent cook, an avid book reader, she was
very fashionable and artistic, had beautiful penmanship and enjoyed
writing poetry. She had a good sense of humour, was very
intelligent, and was a lover of
antiques.
She is survived by her children, Cindy
Lewis, Ontario; Mark Furlong, Halifax and Jeff Furlong of USA;
brothers, Roderick, Regina, Ernest (Arlene), Windsor, Ontario, Charles
(Wanda), Springhill; sisters, Elaine White, Windsor, Ontario and
Sharon Gaillard, Springhill; several grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased
by her husband, Joseph Melanson; brothers, Carl, Ronald and an infant
brother and sister.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the A H Brown Funeral
Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A
private graveside service will take place at a later
date.
