It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Marie Bradbury, 54, of Springhill, on Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill, Rhonda was a daughter of the late Curtis and Emily (Brown) Gallagher.
Rhonda had been trained as a hairdresser and had worked at "Pinky's" in Springhill for several years before her MS made it too difficult. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and board games as well as attending Bingo. She was a strong and generous spirit who lived by the motto "Be Kind!" During her time spent at the nursing home she quickly became the "Mother Hen", caring for others. Despite her hardships and struggles she remained a positive symbol and beacon to all who met her.
Rhonda was deeply devoted to her family, in particular her grandsons with whom she shared a special bond. Together they made beautiful memories that would last a lifetime. She will continue to watch over them always.
Rhonda is survived by her two daughters, Jenna (Nicole Hurley) Clarke, Springhill, Jackie (Mark Billard) Bradbury; the lights of her life, her two grandsons, Lochlan and Harlan; siblings, Edna Smith, Springhill, Dorothy (Brenton) Booth, Mapleton, Jim (Sharon) Gallagher, Mapleton, David (Evelyn) Gallagher, Mapleton, Marlene (Wayne) Millard, Mapleton, and Dwight (Linda) Gallagher, Springhill; her aunts, Dorothy Harrison, Evelyn Brown, Joyce Gallagher and Helen Gallagher, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews.
Besides her parents, Rhonda was predeceased by her brother, Bill, and special friend, Elroy.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Honouring Rhonda's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service at Brown's Cemetery, South Brook, NS, will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Rhonda may be made to the MS Society of Canada.
