It is with profound sadness that we
announce the peaceful passing of Renovia
"Novie" Mae Spence, 85, of Springhill, at
home with her children and grandchildren by her side on Friday, June
12, 2020.
Born in Springhill, Novie was the
daughter of the late Percy and Kathleen (Moore)
Wood.
Novie was deeply devoted to her entire
family. She looked forward to family gatherings, picnics at
the beach each summer and countless barbecues with everyone she
loved. She celebrated and enjoyed each and every birthday
and holiday when they could all be together.
Novie will be dearly missed by, three
children, Michael (Susan) Spence, Springhill, Susan (Daniel) Mattix,
Collingwood, and Virginia (John) Burke, Amherst; several grandchildren
and great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Esther) Wood, Springhill
and Morley (Anne) Wood, Springhill; sons-in-law, Paul Sampson and
Robert Morton, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and
cousins.
Besides her parents, Novie was
predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Ernie Spence; her daughters,
Sherry Lynn (Spence) Sampson and Nancy Kathleen (Spence) Morton, as
well as four brothers, Dennis, Wayne, Aubrey, and
Norman.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill
(902-597-2361). Honouring Novie's wishes, cremation
has taken place. A Public Graveside Service will be held on
Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 2 pm, all are invited to attend. Please respect social
distancing.
Donations in memory of Novie may be made
to the Canadian Cancer Society.
