Surrounded by loved ones, the death of Arthur Mullen Brebner,
84, of Springhill, occurred on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Montreal,
Art was a son of the late John and Nellie (Scott) Brebner.
Art was known for his unique "trademark"
sense of humour. His second home was the Tim Hortons in
Springhill.
He had served in the Canadian Army
for 35 years, including a time overseas in Germany just following
World War II.
He will be missed by
his daughter, Susan Brebner, Springhill; treasured nieces, Michaela
and Brianna Hunter; three sisters, Hilda Nault, Catherine Brebner and
Sandra Brebner; a brother Tom Brebner; a sister in law, Joan (Gordon)
Brown; a brother in law, Willis (Debbie) Snider and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Art was
predeceased by his wife, Alice Marie (nee Snider); brothers, John,
Jimmy, Teddy, Angus, and Richard and a sister Elenor.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill
(597-2361). Honouring Art's wishes, there is to be no
visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take
place at the Roachville Cemetery, Sussex at a later date.
