It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Guenter Faulhaber, age 79, of Springhill, NS, formerly of Huntsville, ON.  Guenter passed away peacefully with family by his side at Gables Lodge, Amherst on Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Born in Wolfsburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Max and Emma (Glade) Faulhaber.

Guenter was an avid sports fan and loved his local Cumberland Blues Hockey team and the Montreal Canadiens.  He looked forward to his daily meeting with friends at Tim Hortons and Rollways.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Shirley (Howard), Springhill; step-children Beverly (John) Perry, Keswick, ON, Robert (Betty) Taylor, Toronto, ON, Kathy (Claude Marleau) Taylor, Shelburne, ON, Peter (Denise) Leuchter, Toronto, ON, Kevin (Candy) Leuchter, Springhill; step-grandchildren Daniel, Tena, Austin, Talon, Colton, Brighton, and Carley; 1 step-great grandson Henry.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361).  In keeping with Guenter's final wishes, cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation or funeral service.  His ashes will be returned to Lake Vernon, Huntsville, Ontario
