Grace Serena Thompson 97  years of  age, of Springhill, passed away on  Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late George and Annie L. (Spence) Dixon.

She served in the Militia for more than twelve years and was a member of St. David's Presbyterian Church, Springhill.  She enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards, doing crosswords and cryptoquotes.

She will be sadly missed by a brother James (Madeline) Mont of Rockley and sister, Elsie Cox, Springhill; several nieces and nephews.

 Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald Thompson; brothers, Percy and William; sisters, Alberta White and Doris Spriggs.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A  memorial Service will be held from A.H.Brown Funeral Home, Springhill on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill at a later date.
