Carol G. Lockhart, 76, of Springhill, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 in Halifax. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late Edward and Rhoda (Boss) Spence.

Carol enjoyed playing Bingo and knitting. She loved spending time with her family and taking trips to the US with Bev, and could often be found at Timmies with Gloria.

She will be sadly missed by sons, James (Angela) Lockhart of Fort Smith, NWT; Paul Lockhart, Truro, Jason (Kelly) Lockhart, Middle Sackville, NS; brother, Wayne (Florence) Spence of Springhill; sisters, Gloria Anderson and Sheila Woods both of Springhill, Bev (Ron) Colborne of Pembroke, ON, and Brenda (Bill) Ramsey of Berwick, NS; grandchildren; Trevor, Kelly, Benjamin and Olivia; a sister-in-law, Mary Spence, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lorne Lockhart; a son, Chris Lockhart, a brother, Edward Spence, and a sister, Dorothy Pepperdine.

Cremation has taken place under the direction A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). Family and friends are invited to a time of refreshments and remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 2-4 pm. A graveside service for Carol will be held at the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, in the Spring.
