Gerene (Harrison) Roode died peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on December 4, 2014 at the age of 72.

Gerene is survived by her two sons David Roode (Springhill), Tim Roode (Trenton), two grandchildren Chazwick Carl Roode, Liam Cale Roode of Truro, sister Dorothy (Keith) Meagher, brother Joe (Rosemary)Harrison of Springhill, step brothers Gary Chapman, Carl (Greta) Chapman and David (Gloria) Chapman. She is preceded in death by her mother Daisy (Corkin) Chapman, Step-father Carl Chapman and her father, George Harrison.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361).

Cremation has taken place and internment will follow in the spring. Donations may be made to the Lung Association or charity of choice.
