It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of
Sue Brown, age 67. Sue passed away suddenly at her home in
Southampton, NS on Monday, October 27, 2014.
Born in Toronto, ON, she was a daughter of the late Jack and
Jean (Littley) Bissell.
Sue graduated from Mount Allison University in 1982, then
went on to work for Indian Affairs in Amherst, NS for 25 years and
continued to consult with various First Nations
organizations. She was a strong supporter of the Autumn
House in Amherst. She owned and operated Bissell Brown
Accounting for many years.
She will be dearly missed by her children Mark (Stephanie),
Woodbridge, ON, Onwri "Bumper" (Tabatha), Ajax, ON, Cheryl
(Annie), South Athol, NS, Tracey, Southampton, NS, Kelly (Jamie)
Merritt, Springhill, Sean (Judy), Parrsboro, NS, David (Alley),
Halifax, NS; several grandchildren; brother Ted (Shirley Stewart)
Bissell, New Castle, ON; special friend Linda Wishart, Riverview,
NB.
She was predeceased by her husband Mark O. Brown in August of
this year.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of A H Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS. At Sue's
request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A
Celebration of Life will be held at the Southampton Community Centre
on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm.
