It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of
Karel Allister Wilson, age 73, of Springhill, NS. Karel passed away
with his loving family by his side on Friday, September 19, 2014 at
All Saints Hospital, after a lengthy and courageous battle with
cancer.
Born in Springhill, NS he was a son of
the late Jack and Lucetta (Mills) Wilson.
After serving six years with the Canadian Armed Forces, Karel
worked as a Corrections Officer for 29 years until his
retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, visits with his
buddies at Fountain Lake where a story could be told time and time
again, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years,
Bernice (nee MacPhee); son James; daughter Charlene (Alan); two
granddaughters Jenna and Katelyn, who were the light of his
life. He is also survived by his brothers Gordon
"Wimp" Wilson, Harry (Cathy) Cleveland; sister Vicky (Dan)
Pifer.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother
Ralph Cleveland; sister Dawn Gibson as well as several aunts and
uncles.

H Brown Funeral Service, 5 MacFarlane Street, Springhill NS
(902-597-2361), where an Evening of
Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014
from 6-9 pm. The family invite all to join them in celebrating Karel's
life.
