The death of Dallas Wayne Riebesehl, 72, of Springhill, and
formerly of Ohio, occurred suddenly at the Victoria General Hospital,
Halifax, on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Born in Holgate,
Ohio, Dallas was a son of the late Albert and Opal (Miley)
Riebesehl.
Dallas proudly served in the United
States Marine Corps before becoming a machinist with Texas
Instruments. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and feeding the
birds on his property. He was a fan of golf and an avid
follower of NASCAR and Carl Bush in particular.
Dallas will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years, Bonnie (nee
Dowe) of Springhill; two sons, David and Todd, both of Massachusetts;
a daughter, Laura (Dudley) Newvine, of Massachusetts; six
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Marcey (Chris)
Corressel and a brother, Dan, as well as several nieces and nephews,
eight brothers in law, three sisters in law and his best friends,
Wayne Hosford and Peter George.
Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and David, and a
step-son, Troy.
Honoring the wishes
of the family, there is to be no visitation or funeral
service. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill
