It is with deep sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of Barbara Ann Burgess, age 65, of Springhill.  Barb passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late John and Della (Reid) Quinn.

Barb was a happy and loving lady.  She always put everyone else's needs ahead of her own and would do anything for her family and friends.  She enjoyed spending time at Economy Cove, where she loved to camp and fish.  Above all was her family and friends, and of course her cat Coco.

She will be dearly missed by her children Dave (Lenora Guptill), Grand Manan, Patricia (Jason Simmons) Burgess, Springhill; 5 grandchildren, Corey, Amber, Christopher, Ocean-Lee, and Charity-Ray; 4 great grandchildren, Timothy, Lexus, Teegan and Trace; brothers Leo, Alfred (Bessie), and twin Bobby (Jean, her best friend), all of Springhill; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Lila, and her loving daughter Tracy, whose death she has struggled with since she passed last year.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Monday from 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral service will take place at A H Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2 pm, Capt. Max Snow officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
