It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Harold "Tiny" Boss, age 85, of Springhill.  Tiny passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday July 30, 2014.

Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late George and Eliza (MacDonald) Boss.

Tiny was a Coal Miner in the Springhill Mines.  He was a proud member of St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church where he was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.  He loved to play cards, and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years.

Tiny will be sadly missed by son, Jack (Brenda) Boss, Springhill; daughters, Patti (Robert) Martini, Dartmouth, Susan Lowther, Raylene (Robert) Martin and Holly Jo (Ken) Gilbert all of Springhill; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Janice, sisters Violet Morrison, Faye MacDonald, and Lillian Alderson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill (597-2361) where visiting Hours will take place on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Following visitation, cremation will take place.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11 am.  He and his wife's ashes will then be interred in Hillside Cemetery.
