It is with sadness we must announce the passing of Harold Terris, age 73, of Springhill.  Harold passed away at High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Emily (Light) Terris.

Harold was employed with The Town of Springhill for over 30 years. He was an adherent of St. Andrews Wesley United Church, Springhill; past member of the Springhill Fire Department; Springhill Curling Club and RAOB.  He was handy with his hands and enjoyed fixing things, watching TV; watching sports, especially baseball, as well as listening to music and being with his family and friends.
 
He will be sadly missed by his former wife Joan Doncaster; sons, Brian Terris and Perry (Carolyn) Terris, both of Springhill; daughters, Susan (Late Bob) Rayworth, Springhill and Lisa Byran, Chignecto; brother, Ronald (Lorraine) Terris, Springhill; sisters, Joan (Late Bill) Hawker and Karen Ann (Bob) MacDonald all of Springhill; a sister-in-law, Paulette Terris; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by a a great granddaughter, Kyrsten Livingston and a brother Darrell "Denny" Terris.

In keeping with Harold's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).  A graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Springhill on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11 am.   Major Max Snow Officiating.  All are welcome to attend.
