It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of
Allan Chaulk, age 66, of Springhill. Allan passed away
suddenly on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at his home..
Born in Grand Falls, NL, he was a son of the late Fred and
Blanche (Trask) Chaulk.
Allan was a strong
family man, who was adored by many. He was a wonderful
husband, father, and grandfather, great grandfather, and an honorary
grandfather to many. He was known by all as either Uncle Al
or Poppy. Al met his one true love, Eunice in Toronto in
1969 they married in 1972 and remained in Toronto until 6
years ago. While in Toronto, he worked for many years with
the Toronto Transit Commission, as a truck driver, taxi driver, and a
tow truck driver. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, the former
Eunice Silvea, Springhill; his children Allan (Melissa), Toronto,
Jeaneva Chaulk, Springhill and Fred (Melanie), Toronto; grandchildren
Kristine, Alixzandra, Samantha, A.J., Alyssa, Jason, Kaiden, and
Kameron; great grandchildren, Mykel, Trystan and Jordyn; siblings
Mildred, Ella, and Fred; several nieces and nephews. In
addition to his family, he will be dearly missed by many friends new
and old, both in Toronto and Springhill.
He was
predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service
(902-597-2361) 5 McFarlane St., Springhill. In keeping with
Allan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family
memorial will be held at a later date.
