Shirley "Tudd" MacCallum
1928-2012
It is with sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Elizabeth "Tudd" MacCallum, age 84 of Springhill. Shirley passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill.
Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the Late J. Clyde and Laura S. (Roney) Dickie.
Tudd's working career as a nurse was spent at All Saints Hospital in Springhill.
She is sadly missed by her daughter Loralyn Brown (Darold Scott), Springhill; grandchildren Sarah, Springhill and Christopher, Port Hawkesbury, NS; great grandson Carter; sister-in-law Marion Dickie, Little Narrows, Cape Breton.; several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by long time partner Charles Roberts; sisters Mary Guthro and Lorraine Dixon and brother James A. Dickie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). In keeping with Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
