Alice Pearl Gilroy
1914-2012
Alice Pearl Gilroy, 97 years, of Mapleton, NS, wife of the
late George Gilroy, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at All
Saints Hospital, Springhill.
Alice had been a
long time church organist and choir director. She was a
loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Wyman (Dorothy), of
Mississauga, Doris, of Mapleton, Edith (James) Nickle, of Halifax,
Evelyn (Garry) McCormick of Rodney, and Carole (late Bill) Wheatcroft
of Thornhill, ON; nine grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care
of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597
2361) from where visitation will be held 7-9 pm on Thursday,
January 26 and on Friday, January 27 from 1 pm until the time of the
funeral at 2. Pastor Philip Scott officiating.
Private family burial will follow in Mapleton Cemetery.
