Minerva Edith Rose

Minerva Edith Rose  of Stoney Creek, Ontario and formerly of Springhill, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2010 in her 85th year in Pine Villa Nursing Home, Stoney Creek, Ontario. She was a daughter of the late Harry "Peck" and Daisy (Moore) Clark.  Minerva was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She will be sadly missed by daughters, Dawna (Don) MacDonald, Roberta (Dave) McKay, Dorothy (Howard) Browning and son Charles (Carol) Rose; grandchildren, Dawna Marlene, Steve, Tammy, Michelle, Michael, Charles Jr., Kim and John; great grandsons, Matthew and Luke.

She was predeceased by husbands, Charles Rose, George Cottenden and Omie "Tom" MacDonald; brothers, Harold, Ralph and Raymond; sisters, Annie and Vi.

By Minerva's request, cremation has taken place.  Arrangements have been entrusted to A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).  A visitation will be held Monday, August 9, 2010 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home, followed immediately at 2:00 pm by a Graveside Committal Service in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, with Dr. Waldo Grandy officiating.  Following the service, family and friends are invited to return to the Funeral Home for a time of fellowship and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Minerva's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
