Norman Daniel "Nipper" Hunter

    Norman Daniel "Nipper" Hunter  55 years of Junction Road, Springhill, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill.  Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Daniel Winters and Norma Eleanor (Beaton) Winters-Hunter. Nipper was educated in the Springhill schools; served three years in the Royal Canadian Army then worked with Canada Post for over 20 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, all of the outdoors, sports, his family and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Darlene Martin; daughter, Bonnie (Tyler) Rushton, Oxford; son Terry (Amanda Arsenault) Mattinson, Springhill; grandchildren, Britany, Jessica, Danielle and Lindsey Mattinson, Ewan Rushton;  brother, Kenneth (Darlene Gould), Springhill; sisters, Marie (Russell) Oickle, Oxford and Patti (Scott) Purcell, Maine, USA;  adoptive father, Frank Hunter, Springhill; several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2010 followed immediately at 3:00 pm by the Funeral Service with Major Max Snow officiating.
