We are saddened to announce the passing of Marie on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst.  Marie was the daughter of the late Doug and Anna (Chambers) Embree.

She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by her three children, Carl Jr. (Tammy), Anna (Richard), Tom (Darlene); five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, as well as two brothers.

Marie was predeceased by one grandchild, and the love of her life, her husband, Carl Porter Sr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).  Honouring Marie's wishes, there is to be no visitation or funeral services.

If so desired, donations in Marie's memory may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
