Carl "Bill" Whittle, 72 years of age, of Springhill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2019. Born in Springhill he was a son of the late Carl & Liz Whittle.

Bill  worked for the Dept. of Highway's for over 20 years. He loved music. In his younger days he enjoyed being outdoors, riding 4 wheelers, motorcycles. Bill was a gifted chess player. Bill was very well liked and was a loving family man. He was a people person and very sociable.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Bonnie, son, Matthew of Westville, daughters, Jennifer Meagher (Kallen) of Amherst, Tabatha Harrison-Michels (John) of Amherst; step son, Brad Jewkes of Halifax,  granddaughters, Brooklyn Whittle; Nalia & Lyla Meagher, Callie Michels; step grand sons, Cory & Travis Jewkes, great step grandsons, Linchon & Noah Jewkes;  sister, Carolyn MacDonald of Springhill, several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by, son Barry and his brother, Jimmy Whittle, step son, Todd Jewkes.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). No visitation or service by request.
