It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Richard William Farrell, age 73, of Springhill. Richard passed away suddenly at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Born in Springhill, NS, he was the son of the late George and Elsie (Rushton) Farrell.

He was an avid fisherman. He loved his drives with his brother, heading to Five Islands for fish and clams. He worked for Oxford Frozen Foods for many years.

He will be dearly missed by brothers, Douglas, Springhill, Larry (Valerie), Springhill, Gary (Shirley), Amherst, John, Salt Springs; sisters, Dorothy Hann, Burton, NB, Doris Sears, Springhill, Brenda Farrell, London, ON, Debbie (Marven) Powell, Springhill; sister in law Carol Farrell, Springhill, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Herbert (Rhea), Robert; sister Betty (Joe) Hibberts; brother in law Gordon Hann.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in the spring.
