It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Janet Alice "Pearl"
Quinn aged 95 years of Springhill. Pearl
passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at High Crest Nursing Home,
Springhill.
Born in Harrison Settlement, NS, she was
a daughter of the Late Chester and Irene (Nicholson)
Gilbert.
She was a member of the All Saints
Anglican Church, Springhill. She enjoyed most woodland sports,
spending half the year at their camp in Harrison Settlement, where
they gardened and tended to their blueberries. She was a
great cook, and everyone loved her bread and biscuits. She
loved playing Bingo, spending time with her family, especially her
grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her son
Robert E. Quinn (Evonne Young), River Philip, NS; grandson Michael
(Anne) Quinn, Harrison Settlement, NS; grandson-in-law Lester Hunter,
Springhill; great grandchildren Jason, Cody, Bryan, Hailie and Ashley;
great great grandchildren; Merissa, CJ, Rhyder, Charlie, Julia, Frank
and Theo; brothers, George and Gordon both of Halfway River;
sister Bernice (Ken) Brown, Riverview, NB; several nieces
and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband
Frank; daughter-in-law Joanne, granddaughter Crystal; brothers Fred
and Kenneth Gilbert; sisters Phyllis Simmons, Loretta Morris and Vera
Gilbert.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, (902 597-2361) where visitation will be held on
Friday from 6 to 8 pm. Pearl's funeral will be on Saturday,
November 23, 2019 at 10 am. Burial will follow in the
Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, NS.
