It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest wife, mum, and gram, Deborah Ann Boran, 66, of Pugwash Point Road, Pugwash, NS. Deb passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Born in Sackville, Deb was a daughter of the late Arnold and Bernice (Hicks) Tower.

Professionally, Deb was a very well respected Early Childhood Educator in her early years and during her twenty five years in the financial services industry with TD Bank.

Deb was our best friend, our rock and our beacon during difficult storms. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends and was actively involved in the development and raising of each of her grandchildren. She was always the go to person for those in need of a shoulder. She was an active runner having participated with her running partner, Tom in many races and marathons. She liked to knit and was an avid reader.

She will be dearly missed by her best friend and husband of 46 years, Tom, Pugwash Point Rd, Pugwash; her sons, Andrew, Halifax, Nick (Jan), Halifax, and Patrick (Laura), Chambly, PQ; her beloved grandchildren, Quinn, Ashley, and Cody; her brother Gary (Elizabeth) Tower, Amherst; her sister-in-law, Ruth (Bill) Spence, Port Howe, NS and her brother-in-law, Jim Betts, Lower Sackville, NS, as well as several nieces and nephews and her faithful four-legged companion, "Miss Winnie".

Besides her parents, Deb was predeceased by her sisters, Carol Betts and Joan Smith, and a brother, Keith Tower.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) from where a time of visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2 pm. Interment to follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.

Donations in memory of Deb may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Dr. Tom Boran Oral Health Outreach Fund, Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University.

Memories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting Deb's online memorial and guestbook at www.brownsfuneralhome.com or through the A.H. Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page.
