It is with extreme sadness that the family of
Keith William O'Brien, 72, of Springhill,
announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Keith was a
son of the late Lester and Mary (Lavers) O'Brien.
Keith had worked the majority of his life in the woods which
is where he loved to be. He loved going for drives in the woods just
to look around. He enjoyed playing washer toss and attending
dances.
Keith is survived by his loving wife
of fifty-one years, Wendy Calder O'Brien; children, Janet, Amherst,
Rodney (Mildred), New Glasgow, and Annette (David), Springhill;
grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Danielle, Brooklyn, Garret, Tyler, Nikki,
and Craig; great grandchildren, Paisley, Keira and Sierra, as well as
his brothers Ralph (Alice), Amherst and Gerald, Springhill, a sister,
Audrey (Gerry) Parrsboro and several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Keith was predeceased by his sister,
Olive Quinn and infant brothers Leslie and Kitchner.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of
A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Brief words of remembrance and a
musical selection will lead a time of celebration for Keith on
Saturday, September 7, 2019 beginning at 2 pm with a time of reception
and gathering to follow in the funeral home until 4 pm. A graveside
committal will follow in the Hillside Cemtery,
Springhill.
Donations in memory of Keith may be made to the Epilepsy
Association of Nova Scotia.
