It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear husband and best friend, Robert "Bob" Blair Foster. After a long courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2019 with me by his side.

Son of the late George W. Foster and Edna Hazel (Moore) Foster, Bob was born and grew up in Springhill.

Bob loved the outdoors and camping, sports, his guitar, woodworking and motorcycling. Bob was a fun loving man who was always willing to help anyone at anytime. All who knew him enjoyed his big heart, generosity and sense of humour. He was a devoted father and husband and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bob will be dearly missed by all who loved him. His wife Diane (Bowen) Foster, children Pam Foster (Dave), Bryan Foster and Matt Foster (Nicole); grandchildren Kaide, Emmett and Gabriel; sisters Adeana Matthews and Pat Crowe.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Chester "Bud", Richard "Dick" and sister Helen Smith.

Bob will also be missed dearly by his 3 step children A.J., Christopher and Aylssa and 7 step grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where a Celebration of Life will be held for Bob on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2 pm, Life Celebrant Scott Balser officiating. A second service will be held for Bob at St. James United Church, Stroud, Ontario on  Saturday May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Patricia James officiating.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his friends Caleb and Joe for all their support, as well as the VON and Palliative care teams.
