Alfred "Alfie"
Quinn, 77 years of age, of Springhill, passed away
peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday,
October 7, 2018.
He was the eldest son of the late John
& Della (Reid) Quinn.
Alfie worked in the Syndicate Mine in
Springhill and also River Hebert mines. Alfie worked for A.H. Brown
Funeral Home, doing work in Hillside Cemetery for 32 years. He enjoyed
the out doors, hunting , fishing and camping.
Alfie will be sadly missed by his loving
wife, Bessie; daughters, Mary Quinn of B.C., Elizabeth
"Liz" Quinn (Greg Tower) of Springhill, son, Ricky Quinn of
Springhill Junction; brother, Robert " Bob" Quinn
(Jean) of Springhill; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his brother, Leo; sisters Barbara and Lila; niece Tracey
Quinn-Burgess.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). A funeral service will
be held for Alfie on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2 pm, Lieutenant
Stephen Toynton and Lieutenant Rosalyn Toynton officiating, from A H
Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, NS. His ashes will be
committed in the Hillside Cemetery, immediately following the funeral
service.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made the L.A. Animal Shelter or charity of your
choice.
